Our Mission is to improve the quality of life of the elderly by supporting care facilities.
How we are helping seniors?
The Foundation „Under the Oak Tree” (Fundacja TV Puls „Pod Dębem”) projects are to finance state of the art medical equipment and physical therapy for everyday care of the elderly, we also provide hot meals for seniors in need. We cooperate with government supported nursing homes for the elderly throughout the country. Through the development of our program we will be providing more comfortable, practical and safer environment that the elderly so much deserve.
Our main activities are:
- providing support to social welfare homes, nursing homes, day care centers and senior citizens' homes by purchasing equipment and necessary resources
- conducting educational campaigns on the lives and needs of Seniors (available online, free of charge to everyone)
- building and nurturing intergenerational relations
- counteracting the exclusion of Seniors
Currently, we support 50 nursing homes across Poland.
Our vision
„I always wanted to establish a foundation. My admiration for my mother, who has always been
involved in charity organizations, had a huge impact on the creation of the ”Under the Oak Tree”
Foundation (Fundacja „Pod Dębem”).
Since, being a part of TV Puls, it allowed me to finally realize my idea for the foundation to
help the elderly. Why specifically the elderly? Because this is the generation that I believe
that has been left behind in Poland after the dynamic changes which took place in the past 30
years. The world they know is unrecognizable. The new generations in Poland live fast-paced
lives: work, phones, computers, restaurants and changing technology, and they have no time for
the older generations. Life has placed new demands on people. The „Under the Oak Tree”
Foundation wants to let the elderly know that we have not forgotten them. We are here to
support, understand, help and restore dignity and comfort in their lives when they need
it.
The goal of our fundation is to provide care, medical equipment and services that would improve
lives of the elderly in our communities. We would like to serve as the voice of the community
suporting the elderly who are often forgotten. Unfortunately, our busy lives and
responsibilitities cause us to take for granted simple things that are not so easy for the
elderly to accomplish. Please, join us in helping the elderly who deserve respect, understanding
and dignity. Thank you.”
